When Grace and Suki ask to paint, they really want to just mix paint on a plate -- we don't even bother with paper anymore.

Our neighborhood has neighborhood-wide yard sales twice a year. We got this basket for storing toys.
Kate helps Suki with the gears. Aunt Cyndie gave this to Grace on her second birthday and it's in the past month that it's become a huge hit around here. I think the noise of the gears bothered Grace but it certainly does not have that effect on these two and Grace has grown out of her fear.

Then we left the children behind and went into Georgetown to a jazz dinner club to celebrate our anniversary a bit early. It was a very fun night for everyone -- we got out of the house and the girls got to spend time with their beloved babysitter.
