November 30, 2009

Today we decorated the house for Christmas. All three girls enjoyed a moment holding some battery operated lights before we put them up.

Of course, while I was occupied with the decorating certain chimps decided this was their moment to shine. Here's Kate, facing backwards on the roller coaster after having pulled down some curtains.

So we decided to take a cookie baking break.

A little hug.

A little sample.

This year we put up a tiny tree for each girl to hold their ornaments. Here they are, posing underneath their evergreen beauties.

It's incredible what a busy day this felt like, and we never even left home.

Five outtakes from this morning's holiday card photo shoot:

Afterward, we played in the front yard.

Grace and Suki helped David move our wee robot penguins to their new spot in the front yard.

Meanwhile, Kate explored at our neighbor's house.

Her big sisters were a little wary of her penguin prankiness when she returned.

Grace drew three penguins on our front stoop.

A cuddle for a croupy cricket.

A scowly Sook.

Pulling the wagon back to the garage.

Grace is all ready to go to her friend Elisabeth's birthday party.

Suki gets her jewelry ready before we go.

Kate stayed home with David and they had so much fun!

Sneaking in some time at the light switch.

Looking at some books, trying to figure out which one to pull down first.

Trying to look innocent.

A two minute video of Kate and Dad and their adventures with the truck.

After naps, we brought the girls outside for a little surprise.

Our little JOY penguins! This neighborhood goes wild for outdoor decoration and this year we jumped into the fray.

Our neighbor Alison helped us get our penguins assembled and then showed the girls around at the other decorated yards.

Looking up at the stars.

What a fun day!
