The girls stayed in a classroom with the assistant teachers while we spoke to Miss Jamie down the hall.
Grace is much more at ease at school this year, incredibly polite to everyone and very happy socially. The only two things that could use a little work are her scissor skills and following a series of directions (like when a list of things are asked of her -- she's fine doing whatever is asked of her but doesn't really keep multiple requests in mind).
I finally hit upon the idea that Suki and Grace could push each other around, earning a ride of their own in the process. If they didn't push, they wouldn't be allowed another turn on the bike. It worked like a charm.
Afterward we opened a present from Granny -- Suki was thrilled to see all of the jewelry and this truck. It plays Cotton Eye Joe and dances, among other things. She gave Red Dog a ride and Grace wound up giving Gorilla a ride later.
