November 12, 2009

Grace's homework this month was to decorate this turkey. I love what she came up with!

Kate got Suki's prized jewelry box, and Grace looks on at the tussle that ensues.

Then she looks online while Suki enjoys the fruits of her efforts, Kate seems surprised at her newly empty hands.

Kate may not speak but she understands so much. This morning I asked her to bring me her shoes and she quickly complied, last night I asked her to return a book to the table she'd swiped it from and she ran back in to do it. I was surprised she actually put it back on the same spot and didn't just toss it in a corner and try to nab Grace's gorilla or climb into a bathtub or some other hijinx.

We went out to the car and Suki had to bring her jewelry box. She sleeps with it, she does everything with it. It's quite the hit -- thank you, Grandpa and Mary!

Grace just loves the rain!

It took me a few minutes to realize what Kate was doing here -- she was splashing in the water rushing out of the downspout.

You'll notice Kate's had an outfit change on the way back from preschool -- my poor, car sick girl, she suffers even on this short drive.

Suki is not pleased.

We went for an oil change and then came home to give Kate a quick bath (we always carry extra clothes in the car but today required additional measures).

She's not happy that I'm delaying her snack.

Suki got a little bored, or creative, depending on how you look at it.

Then we went to pick up Grace and one of her friends to bring him home. Four children in the car was a hilarious adventure, especially with having a vehicle oriented boy as our fourth. All of a sudden we were noticing all of the ambulances and police cars and dump trucks we passed and we were all laughing at our luck to be able to follow a crane truck for a good portion of our route.

Back at home!

Grace shows off her squirrel.

And her nut.

Suki opens a present from Aunt Tina and Uncle Steve.

She loved her new play doh set!

Kate is coy in a chair -- she's laughing so hard because she knew I wanted her to stay put for a quick photo.

A hug for Grace, so to speak.

A sisterly hug.
