The loaded with photos Halloween edition...

Excited to head out to Gina and Joseph's house for some Halloween fun.

All dressed up and ready to head out with her monkey friend Joseph.

Daragh corrals three animal friends.

Rummaging through her loot.

Discarding the Halloween pretzels to make room for more "choc-a-lit."

Caught in the act.

Happy dalmatian with her candy.

Ready to ring another bell! Mama's back actually got a decent break because Grace wanted to walk all over the place for her trick or treating! She was especially excited when there was a dog visible in the house from the doorway.

Gina helps Joseph and Grace at the door.

Choosing from the candy platter.

Oh, how we tried to get them to pose sweetly at these steps...

...but this was as good as it got.

Our sweetest moment of the night came as we were walking over a lawn and Grace noticed the moon. She started quoting from "The Wonderful Happens," where the moon lights up the night sky. We held hands and walked along and Grace recited the part that says "Did you know there was a time when you weren't anywhere? But you happened, like bread, like a bird, like rain." It was so lovely, the two of us hand in hand, out in the darkness with dozens of others but also by ourselves, feeling so lucky.

Looking at some candy back at Gina's house.

Grace and Joseph scheme how to get the easel out.

She admires everything Joseph does.

Looking at a Mickey lollipop.

Eating some goulash with Joseph -- how great an idea was it for Gina to make goulash on Halloween? We came home and ate a little leftover pumpkin pie and watched a little Dancing With the Stars for old times sake. She was exhausted and when she started putting her head down on a chair to "take a nap," it was time to put her to bed.

Eating some grapes.

Trying to click the mouse.

Smiling at mama.

Such a sweet girl.

Lunch at Aunt Melissa and Uncle Jeff's apartment. Grandma brought cider doughnut holes, which were a big hit.

Aunt Cyndie looks on a Grace considers dessert.

Happy as can be.

Offering Aunt Melissa some.

Finally settling in on her own.

Examining Grandma's Montana bear claw shirt.

A sweet moment with Uncle Jeff.

She insists on using his full name when she talks to him, but he is indisputably a favorite.

Sitting at the dinner table at Grandpa's all by herself for the first time.

Dad makes some adjustments and then she's able to enjoy Mary's delicious dinner.

Worn out, Grace gets silly with a napkin hat.

Can you tell who took a nap on the car ride home?

Hard at work at her beloved Cracker Barrel. We took a "quick break" for lunch on the way home and managed to kill 1 1/2 hours there somehow.

After a long afternoon writing contracts in the realtor's office, we took Grace to this Burger King Play Place.

She loved climbing up the lower sections.

Sweet face.

Taking a breather.

On to the next level!

Trying to turn the wheel.

Can you spot Dad in this photo?

She had a great time -- it was fun for us to see her having such a good time, too.

We took another trip back to the house we like best and took a closer look and a lot of photos.

With Dad in front of our maybe-home.

We actually found the house we hope to get on our first day of house hunting! Negotiations still in progress, stay tuned...

This was par for the course in the morning. Grace was exhausted and one of us would check out the house while the other stayed in the car with her. If the house was worth it, we'd then swap. If not, it was back on the road for us!

A very tired girl.

Not too tired to watch a little Dancing With the Stars that night, though! David and I love it and Grace got into it very quickly, asking for "more dancing! more dancing!" every time there was a commercial break.

Fascinated.

Giving her gorilla a kiss.

A smile for her dad.
