Dancing and playing.

Grace loves her xylophone.

At the window.

#2.

Two sisters together.

Dad cuddles Kate.

She and her Dad are so close.

Checking out her new complexion in a mirror.

A smiling Sook.

Another look in the mirror.

A little nap.

Adorable.

Dad shows Sook the powerful thunderstorm that swept through the area today.

Looking out at the storm.

Why is Suki so pleased?

Because she loves to tickle Grace.

Reading with Dad.

Dad and Suki had the best time playing this catch-you-off-the-armoire game.

Grace and Suki were so sweet and kind to Kate tonight.

One quick (but kind of crazy) one with Mom.

Suki finally allowed me to assemble this puzzle today.

She loved being able to interact with the characters!

Dancing monkeys.

Cuddling them close.

A little kiss on each cheek.

What a refreshing beverage!

I debated putting this one up but there's just such a cute story. On the Wonder Pets, Ming Ming the duck is once saved from harm during a bad fall because she has feathers on her bottom. Grace and Suki love acting out the fall, then I have to ask if they're okay, and then they tell me that they're fine but it's a good things they have feathers on their bottom! And here Suki acts out the little scene, pointing out just where her fortunate feathers are.

Sitting with her drawing pad.

Pouring herself a little drink.

A girl a-snooze again.

Looking at a colorful mat during tummy time.

Looking closer.

She can't believe her eyes!

May 29, 2008

We were going to go to the grocery store this morning. And then to a picnic with friends. And we did neither, because Kate would not stop wailing (and I mean shrieking) in the back seat. We pulled over but there was no consoling her. We tried going to the playground instead, so the girls could still have some fun but Kate screamed so hard she had a hard time catching her breath. So we headed home and played with the sand and water table instead. You'd never know it was such a terrible time this morning from these pictures though, and for that I am grateful -- it's good to see that on almost any day there are times when the girls are laughing and I am peaceful and it's not completely crazy here.
