Off we went to play with our friends this morning. Besides playing with Emily and Lauren, Grace was especially looking forward to seeing Chi Chi the monkey and Suki really wanted to see their little dogs.
All three of my girls were so gentle with the dogs, it was so good to see.
Kate was enchanted with them.
Once inside, Lauren and Emily were so good about sharing their toys!
And Chi Chi made an appearance, too.
Kate played hide and seek with Emily.
Emily also brought Suki her milk cup and some snacks.
Sarah gave us a plant to bring home -- we examined the roots and the leaves and talked about where we will plant it and cover the roots soon.
Then we went to check out our little pots where we planted our seeds.
Here's what we found -- given the way the planting went, I'm not sure we can be sure that the seedlings in a particular pot are necessarily what their label would indicate. We'll keep our eye on them!
Then we came back to cover the roots of the currently anonymous bush with water.
What a funny look.
The girls were delighted when it started to rain.
There was lots of chasing and merry making.
Kate was excited about it, too.
I could look at this picture of Grace tilting her head toward the rain forever -- I just love it.
Suki tried a different way to drink rain.
Kate eats her shoe to show her displeasure at not being able to frolic quite as much as her sisters.
Suki may not be quite sure what Grace is doing, all she knows is that she wants to do it too.
