We spent all day at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis -- it was our first time on a real beach together and we all loved it so much.
We realized the battle was futile. She was going to put sand in her mouth if she was surrounded by sand, so we told her no whenever we saw her doing it and she laughed and put in even more.
She couldn't believe it when she wasn't fast enough, and asked me to go get one for her. I told her that I was too slow, that everyone on the entire beach was too slow to catch a bird for her.
We dug our hole near the shoreline and lined it with rocks and shells as the water filled it from the bottom.
Suki was so enchanted by all of those rocks and shells that she kept putting them back in her bucket.
After her nap, Kate was happy to play with her sisters at the shoreline. Then the tide began rising and she loved feeling the waves rushing right up to her.
Suki loved hers too but had more of a handle on how to drink most of her water rather than splash it like Kate did.
