Rainy day? Perhaps you would like a little rainy day song by Kate, poem by Grace and... mobile, courtesy of Suki?
Kate loves her perch.
Kate loves her perch.
Then it was on to stage two of our paperweight project. Yesterday evening we collected and washed our rocks. If you want very happy children, I suggest giving them each a tub of soapy water and encouraging them to clean something, it need not be a rock.
This is definitely the sort of craft it's best to do while David's away. It got mighty sticky at certain points of this craft, as you'd imagine. I have no idea why Kate wandered off for part of this project, we helped her finish hers up. The last step was to cover all of the paper with the same watered down glue.
Before drying...
After drying. Grace made hers as a gift for her dear friend Anu, she's been very steadfast in her intentions. I don't think Suki and Kate have any ideas about parting with theirs.

I knew better than to linger with Grace when I heard Suki and Kate declaring their love for a game of Splasha Splasha Splasha.
