Take Your Child To Work Day was canceled this year at David's company because of a conflicting board meeting. The Friday before a holiday weekend seemed like the perfect time to make it up. Grace was so excited to go to work with Dad! Suki's old enough to go but her apprehensive and occasionally deafening approach to new people knocked her out of the running. Hopefully next year she'll be able to participate too!

Meanwhile, back at the ranch Kate and Suki play an early morning game of Candy Land.
Then it was out to the pool for some splashy fun.
I was so proud of Suki for figuring out this way of passing the hose to Kate (rather than the blast to the face approach experienced a few moments earlier).
