May 6, 2009

May is National Bicycle Awareness Month and Suki's been clamoring for a bike ride and so today was Bike Day at our house.

It started off with a bicycle breakfast.

Then we bought Ruby (Grace's Webkinz pet) a bicycle to ride.

Everyone loved seeing her scoot around.

Then we watched a few bicycle clips from Sesame Street.

Then it was outside for some bicycling of our own!

All smiles. Or what passes for a camera smile.

Grace loads the basket with her animals.

We also had the shopping cart out so there would be something with wheels for the non-riding sister but they wound up sharing remarkably well.

Kate was imprisoned by the ladybug while we rode bikes, I just couldn't think of another way to keep everyone safe.

She didn't suffer too much.

And her sisters helped keep her entertained.

A naughty moment from Suki while Grace was having her turn on the tricycle.

Bubble time!

Such a proficient bubbler.

Apparently we care about sterilized toys about as much as we care about a mowed lawn :)

In her "field of buttercups."

Buttercup baby.

The best shot of what started as a spontaneous pose and quickly devolved to a contest of wills (I lost).

Then we came in and watched Chichen-Itza-Pizza and the girls rode the couch together as if it was a bicycle built for two, just like Tasha and Uniqua. You're not missing the picture, I didn't take one, but it was so cute I had to put in a wee note about it.
