End of the day up on top, more from the morning down below.
Grace does her very first homework, coloring a butterfly for preschool. Her first day is tomorrow! In the background you can see her school bag, embellished to her specifications (as you can imagine, with plenty of ducks and one flower with a smiling face because she does love to be called Smile now).

We tried to keep things very low key tonight but stay tuned for pictures of our first day of school party tomorrow!

Off to Michael's for some duck embellishments for Grace's school bag. I am sorry to report that the scary figures are back, terrifying Grace with their blood curdling screams and herky jerky movements and gruesome ways. We avoided them as much as possible, which is to say she never actually saw them but heard them just a bit.
As you will imagine, Kate fell asleep 30 seconds before I wanted to put her back in the car. She resumed her nap shortly after this picture was taken, though.
Crazy McTantrum showing off her skills. Today was the first day I ever had a child throw themselves to the floor and start flinging merchandise while screaming at the suggestion that we need to keep moving through the store WITHOUT 500 necklaces in tow. I ended it swiftly and there were minimal glares, but that's probably because it was the middle of a weekday and most people in Michael's are just glad that it's not -their- child pitching the fit.
