September 25, 2008

A bit warier at the drop off this morning than most.

Suki loves her buckets. These held the favors from her friend Mia's party and have been a huge hit.

My sweet Kate grabs a quick nap.

These did not turn out as I'd hoped but they still show some of the many expressions of my six month beauty.

My adorable Sook.

She is slightly obsessed with the Cat in the Hat.

We always have the strangest collection of things out to play with at any given time.

Peeping Mom -- I snapped this shot of Grace sitting around the table in her classroom reading with the other kids. I just love seeing her with them.

Waving to us.

Running out for her pick up.

I love this! And so ends apple week at preschool. They had an apple tasting party in class with green, yellow and red apples, Grace liked the Red Delicious the best. That's about all I got out of her today.

After preschool it was time for the promised return to the playground from last week.

So classically Suki.

On the animals with her friend Charlie.

Grace spent the entire time on the duck.

Suki was all over the playground.

Kate was sleepy and just observed it all.

Dylan, Suki and Charlie. Suki does not realize there is any difference between her and these boys twice her age.

She was also sweet to Ben, though.

Sweet and then...

Whooee. Something hit her the wrong way.

A few from outside the pediatrician's office.

Suki will do whatever Grace asks her to do and whatever Grace is doing. It is a sight to see.

Some of Kate as she waited for her appointment.

David's always the one who takes care of Kate's doctor's appointments, I haven't been to one with her since she was a week old and we went to the cardiologist. I am here to report that the reentry to the world of baby appointments might be made easier without my sidekicks Grace and Suki. They tried very hard to show good behavior but it was hard for them -- Suki is very anxious around nurses because she always winds up getting a shot, neither girl is particularly easy with men they don't see often, though Grace is getting better about that.

Grace really really wanted to hold an umbrella in the rain. Her teachers have been talking about it a lot at school, or at least what they've said has made a big impression on Grace. So we took a few minutes after Kate's appointment to let her hold this, the one umbrella we had in the car.

So: Kate is doing very well, proceeding normally through her development and milestones.
