Update: Basement flooding for the first time (ever, according to neighbors), no sump pump, no drainage to speak of. Thank goodness our stuff is off the floor. Poor husband in the basement with towels, a bucket and a sink, relaxing day apparently rained out.

This morning we dressed everyone for cosiness, turned on some soft lights and stayed dry and warm and happy on this very wet day.

There are tropical storm, high wind and flash flood warnings for our area so we are glad we can stay inside today.
