Gorgeous Suki collecting leaves.

Kate stoops with her cup for some chalk.

Grace looks up at the beautiful blue sky.

Our friend Valentina stands on this rock in our yard to climb a tree -- Kate tried to copy her today but to no avail.

Chalking the rock.

Time for a wee wagon ride.

These three collected leaves for their bouquets along the way. And by that I mean that every time they spotted a leaf in a yard, they wanted me to run and fetch it for them. Did I mention fall has arrived in Virginia? It was quite a time.

Our friend Ginny was home sick today but still managed to bound down her driveway to say hello to this trio.

Then we went to the park to meet Grace's best friend Anu when she got out of preschool.

We had fun on the swings while we were waiting.

Even Fuzzy Duck and Gorilla got a turn.

When Anu arrived, she and Grace ran over to the bouncing rides.

On the slides.

Kate developed a new way to go down the slides -- head first. She wound up face down in some mulch after this little venture. She's Kate, so she bounced right up and ran off to find something else to play with.

Two sweet friends eating lunch together.

I hope you didn't think Kate had changed her ways after that face-down-in-the-mulch exploit. Do you see her coming down this spiral slide the same way?

She spun around when she got to the bottom.

She scooted to the edge.

Then I asked Grace to help her down. Grace grabbed her arm, helpfully catapulted her to the ground where Kate miraculously landed on her feet and walked off.

Suki looks down from above.

Grace barely won this three sister crawling race to the slide.

Down the stairs she goes!

Grace and Anu head over to the slides.

Suki let go of the chains for a moment and fell right off the swing. She stood up, shook it off and then turned back and said "that's a bad swing!" and headed over to the swing in front of Kate.

Kate tries to climb a tree.

Enjoying her purloined juice box.

This game involved sweeping the sidewalk with branches.

This one involved tagging each other with the branches. I figure as long as everyone's happy with the game and no one's getting hurt, why would I get involved?

One sure sign everyone's played out and ready for a nap.

A kiss goodbye.

And a hug.

We're going to miss Anu during her two months away!
