October 13, 2009

Kate all curled up and sleeping.

Stacking blocks before breakfast.

Grace feeling bossy.

The girls put on accents and started making a grocery list:

Outside getting ready to get in the car.

A girl and her moose.

Thinking of where to graffiti next. We have the kindest neighbors who love it when our girls run through their yard, plus we live on such a quiet street that I don't necessarily run the minute Kate leaves our yard for the next one over. Kate has realized this and exploits the opportunity to hide a piece of chalk in her sleeve and surreptitiously chalk our neighbors' garages and houses whenever possible. I always remove the chalk marks but I fear the day she discovers a more permanent medium.

We've just brushed hair, we're on the way to preschool and Suki knows that this is the perfect time to toss some leaves toward her sister's head.

Oh, the glee on her face.

Ready for drop off.

Delighted to see all the red leaves on the trees.

Off to the grocery store for a few things.

The balloons!

Sharing a smoothie outside.

We heard a noise and when we looked up we saw...

... the Good Year Blimp. It was quite a surprise and the first time these two have ever seen it.

Then we went to the playground for some fun swinging.

Suki and Kate's friends Anna and Abby were there too, so it was such a little treat. When I opened Suki's door she looked down at Abby and asked "Can I play with you?" Abby said yes and off they ran, chasing each other from the get go. Here, Suki and Abby negotiate over the horse ride.

Kate and Anna have a similar discussion at the chipmunk.

I don't know if you can see Suki very clearly here but she and Abby had so much fun tossing red dog back and forth -- she was giddy.

Then it was off to get Grace at preschool.

Why does she look so happy? She's plotting how to remain in the Red Star room all day, taking a nap there, calling Miss Jamie her mom and Miss Cheryl her dad, finding a lunch, etc. What a card.

Blue crayon and blue paint all over the blue world.

The most unusual Christopher Columbus I've ever clapped eyes on. Grace adores it.
