We were so excited to go to our friend Valentina's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese today.
We weren't sure how the girls would react to the giant animatronic animals but this Chuck E. Cheese only had one mousy statue that moved just a bit and someone in a mouse costume, which the girls took in stride.
Kate loved her pizza and so much attention from us while Grace and Suki sat at the main party table.
We didn't win a single ticket but the girls didn't even realize that was the object. They just enjoyed the free reign they had to smack something in the head, I think.
Grace had the first turn on this horse, Suki had the second. The ride was intended for riders over 50 pounds and there were warnings that the ride would not perform properly for children weighing less. I kept a hand on each girl as they took their ride (the improper function seemed to be slower, gentler movements and believe me, we didn't even try the "jump" button). Suki didn't mind the hand but Grace and I are having a wee disagreement about it in these photos.
I was sorry we couldn't find a good compromise on this one but I wasn't sure what to expect from this steed.
We were so happy to celebrate our friend's birthday. I think it might be a little while before we head back with our three because it was a little hectic keeping up with them all there. I did like that we all had black-light-visible ink stamped on us to make sure the girls left with the ones who brought them (Kate's ink was on the sticker you see on the back of her shirt).
