August 6, 2009

My girl filling her little bag with tiny animals. She designed the purse, choosing the fabric and yarn, the dimensions, etc. and then watched as I made it. She learned about the blanket stitch, the running stitch, chain stitch, etc. and loved seeing what she wanted come together in front of her eyes.

Kate and her "who, me?" pose when you catch her doing something mischievous. In this case, she was trying to pull the hair from the horse's tail.

Suki shows off a letter.

Grace is sad, so so sad. And why? Because Kate chewed on her terry duck puppet and got it wet. Grace can't abide a damp toy.

Here, she implements the solution I suggested, waving the duck around to dry him. This worked surprisingly well.

Sweet Suki.

Suki practices "swimming."

Banging on a partially deflated ball.

Hitting it together.

Then Suki gleefully makes off with the ball!

Grace is so proud of her words.

Kate shares the monkey rain stick.

Kate after climbing the stairs for her nap.

Grace and Suki wait for their bedtime book.

What funny girls. And yes, we are still a bit under the weather. This has been the most boring week ever!
