Grace shocked me today when she was able to stand in the Bumbo and then jump over the center part to the floor.
David reported back that everyone at the office was so charmed by Kate, the way she smiled at everyone and was so good natured even through all of her tests.
If you want to see something amazing, check out these pictures from her initial appointment.
So there's good news and bad news from the appointment. First, the most worrisome gap in Kate's heart has closed, though the one at the top is still there. Then there's the fact that on the first visit, it was very difficult to detect a murmur using a stethoscope only -- on this visit there was a readily apparent murmur, the doctor believes it is an innocent one and possibly a flow murmur. We'll need to take Kate back in for more tests at a follow up visit in 6-12 months.
Also! In tanking up news, according to the scales at the cardiologist's office Kate now weighs 18 lbs 5 oz, which would indicate a gain of twelve ounces from her 17 lbs 9 oz six days ago. I suspect a discrepancy in the scales, but still!

We set up this stand for Kate tonight. Grace loved it but it was packed away when Suki was young enough to use it. Apparently, she needed to get her fill now...
