December 8, 2010

Eating snowflake toast and oranges for breakfast.

Grace has been talking about playing the bass for weeks now. She likes to hear bass music, she draws pictures of the instrument, and she really loved seeing the bass when we attended the Nutcracker. When she asked for lessons, how could we resist? Today Suki found a fantastic music store and we went to see what we could arrange. They didn't have the 1/8 size bass Grace would need (much to her dismay, she can't have a full sized one. She could FIT inside a full sized one, for the love of god.) but they did have a 1/4 size cello on hand -and- someone who can give her a trial lesson this Saturday. Grace is ecstatic about it.

Grace decided that since she wasn't given a bow, she would just pluck the strings. She is so sweet.

Kate was so gentle with the cello (thank goodness, because I was a little wary of my tasmanian devil with all of those string instruments).

After Suki's pick up.
