Grace and Suki took up so much of the mat this morning Kate had to establish a position in the annex.

Discovering her ball.

She was fascinated at how she could make it move.

Putting the last piece in the puzzle all by herself!

She was very proud.

Grace works on her alphabet puzzle. She is getting to be a pro at the "guess the first letter in this word" game for almost any word you give her.

A hug for Kate.

Suki just loves her sister.

Pulling along the train. This was one of David's from when he was young.

Crazy old basket head.

She's pretending to be a cygnet from the Wonder Pets.

It's kind of a long story... but it makes her happy.

Reading with her ducks.

A little kiss.

Training update: after a day off yesterday, we are back in the thick of things. Once again Grace had a dry morning (through 2 p.m., when I put on a diaper for her nap). Once again, she did not use a toilet. My girl is as admirable as she is frustrating :)

Suki loves to tackle David any chance she gets. Here she enjoys a book after her pounce.
Later she amused herself with the best toy ever, Dad's cell phone.

Dad and Grace head out to a fun lunch date with two of our dear neighbor-friend-dads and the big sisters from both families.

A kiss for Dad on the way out. They had so much fun at their big sushi lunch, Grace is getting so social and so funny and had a blast with the other dads and the big girls.

Suki and I had a more modest picnic lunch.

Not that Suki minded the lack of competition for the grapes.

She's so proficient at pulling them from the stems now.

Dad does Grace's hair -- these two stayed home this morning to see if Grace responded differently to him. The difference as far as we could tell was that she went six hours without being able to go and at that point she really needed a nap. Dad put her in a diaper and within minutes... you know the rest of the story. At least they had a really fun morning together.

Meanwhile, Suki, Kate and I headed out to the place to play so as to have some fun of our own and minimize distractions to Grace.

Kate looks around a bit before settling into a nap.

Suki had a blast playing and then running all over the mall. She was so adorable running around that patrons and shopkeepers were coming out to smile at her and compliment her cuteness.

Reaching for the sun.

Slumped into a nap.

Reaching to pat a toy dog. Suki had so much fun and a crowd gathered to watch how delighted she was interacting with it.

So much fun!

Sisters reunited -- they really missed each other.

I'm just crazy about my girls.

Out at dinner with our friend Jeff. Grace really loved chatting him up and trying to make him laugh.

Shots from the mat this morning.

Sad to say, despite everyone's best efforts there was no toilet training success today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow's try.
