Where are these girls headed?

Unbeknownst to Kate, we are off to Graves Mountain!

It was storming so hard during and after lunch that we decided to stay at the main lodge for a bit. The girls played the piano.

During a break in the rain, we went to a little farm at the site. We were astonished that Suki let Steve carry her around, get her in and out of the car, etc. She's had a flare of stranger anxiety lately but he put her at ease.

Looking in with Ryan. Right after this the rain started pouring down again. We waited in a little shelter but when the thunder and lightning started moving closer, we each grabbed a child and ran for the car.

Back at the cabin, Grace said she wanted a nap. She rested for a little while but never actually slept.

Dad helps Kate look out at the rain. It really lulled her to sleep.

Suki could not be persuaded to stay in bed, so we read on the porch instead.

We could not believe how hard it was coming down, or how long the storms lasted.

Kate hangs out with Dad in the kitchen while Grace and Suki lounge on the bed.

At long last, we had to say goodbye. Kate beams at Steve.

He is just so great with these kids.

A weary Grace has a quiet moment with Dad.

We had so much fun with our friends today!
