Severe thunderstorms and a line of tornadoes came through our area yesterday. As the initial storm hit our area, I found myself trapped in a pitch black grocery store with Kate (luckily not for very long). We'd lost power at home, too -- in all, the outage lasted 25 hours for us (between 3 pm yesterday through 4 pm today). Some neighbors are still without electricity. It's been quite a time here, with lots of candlelight and quick errands for minuscule quantities of milk and coffee. The girls handled the changes to their day very nicely, thank goodness.
