Reaching up for a basket. Today for the first time, she deliberately rummaged through them for a toy. And also for the first time (we were upstairs and cameraless) she pulled up to full standing at Grace's bed.
Mind you, I don't think she had any real idea about it being her birthday but hey, chocolate is always welcome around here.
A few minutes later, Grace asked for some cereal... "for a birthday treat." I tried to explain to her that it wasn't -her- birthday, and that the birthday treat usually relates to the birthday girl. She was unimpressed by this notion and as you can see, wound up with some cereal because she is adorable.
Suki had the messiest chocolate face, but I suppose that's the price she's willing to pay for some pudding.
In her final first of the day, while I was in the kitchen right before bedtime I turned to find Kate sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor. There was nothing around for her to do her usual pull up and roll maneuver, so that means she came to a full sit for the first time. What a big day!
