Waiting at the doctor's office for Grace's 4 year well visit, all three girls are entranced by Aristocats. This was the same movie they saw at our play date on Friday, which is a strange coincidence, especially since they've never seen it even once before.
Looking for ducks in the pond outside the examination room. Grace is now 40 inches tall, 38.9 pounds, which means she gained 6 pounds and 4.5 inches in the past year. Kate is sick and was protesting being in the stroller just a bit and then Suki was a little distracting herself but Grace did an admirable job answering the doctor's questions. The doctor's very happy with her progress over the past year and one thing that made this visit especially great was this was the first one where Grace did most of the talking and where she was asked directly if there was anything going on with her body she'd like to talk about, any pains or worries. The answer was no, but I appreciated her being asked. There were four (!) shots at the four year visit and Grace chose to get them in her arm. She tried to be brave but it hurt a lot and it was hard for both of us that she had to go through it. 
She did receive a coupon for a free shake for being such a great patient, which is a new one on me but who am I to argue with free shake? Grace was an excellent sharer and only had a small portion of this shake before it fell to the ground. She handled the spilled shake situation with aplomb -- I was very surprised.
The weather's beautiful today, so we were glad to spend some time at the playground. Kate snoozed in the car -- the poor girl is really out of it.
