We had a little visitor today, a nice break from focusing on how sick everyone is. We all got to admire our wee Pentatomoidea (which is a much nicer name than stink bug, don't you think?).
A little kiss for the insect.
Stink bugs are also called shield bugs. We took down our
Castle book and looked at the shield the knight holds and compared it to the shape of our bitty prisoner.
The girls wanted to take it out, but given that whole "stink bug" moniker, that didn't seem like a great idea.

I could not resist getting some pictures of Kate before I changed her into her outfit for the day.
You tell me how to resist chomping on this baby from time to time. Impossible!
Kate is trying to get Suki's attention, but Suki's got a Valentine lollipop and apparently some kind of engrossing news feed to pay attention to, so poor Kate is out of luck.
