All ready for a long day at school -- their usual session plus lunch bunch and kidventures so I had time to volunteer in Grace's class. 
As usual, they had a ton of fun, I got to have coffee with a friend and volunteer in Grace's classroom. It was great.
We skipped naps and went on a hike around a local lake. All in we hiked 5/6 of a mile, they were so excited and proud of themselves.
We brought croissants for the birds, but there were no birds at the frozen lake. So we wound up borderline littering as we heaved our croissants as far as they would go across the ice.
Suki was jumping with delight...
...and laughing hysterically.
Our neighbor Paula lifts Grace to look at the squirrel in the hole in a tree.
Homework.
They look exhausted but they were so pleased by Grandma's crocheted hearts and treats.
