Rejoined by a very independent Grace -- she came out of her Girl Scout meeting by herself, came downstairs to meet us, then ran over to the series section of the library, chose a book and then went to check it out. She's checked out books before, but always came and picked up my library card -- this time, she went to the desk on her own and gave them her name and address and they lent her the book.
I got so many sweet compliments on how smart these girls are today, they really were impressive tonight with the way they made conversation with adults, both with their vocabulary and ideas. Love it when that's what people are noticing and not some of their madcap ways :)
