February 23, 2012

Lunch out with my girls, who were called beautiful, well behaved, and little dolls today -- they were so compelling that a man brought over a photo of his own granddaughter who is Grace's doppelganger. I've never seen them attract as much attention today, it was nice to have a day like this when they were showing their best sides. They are getting to be such competent girls now too -- Suki and Grace chose this table and held it down while Kate and I went and got lunch, SO much better than having a swarm of girls milling around my feet in a busy lunch crowd.

We had enough time to go to the play place too.

Then it was off to the pediatrician's office after naps to investigate a mysterious rash on Kate's back and stomach.

She was masked when we checked in, and by the time the doctor arrived the rash had wrapped around her ribs.

She decided to mask Dirty Pengy instead and took a fake little nap.

The rash was not the measles as I'd half-jokingly diagnosed but rather a bad flare up of eczema. We've got steroid creams, topical ointments and Benadryl to try to manage it and will go back to see a dermatologist in a week if it's not better.
