Today was a much better day around here -- Grace hates taking her antibiotics but loves rinsing her mouth after she eats. She calls it "drinking tea from my pink cup" when we give her water after a meal. She doesn't seem to be in much pain and that's a big relief.
Since Grace was doing so well, we went to a little farm nearby with our new friends Beth and Mia.
Grace and Mia take a look at the baby pigs.
They were amazed by all the baby animals -- Grace even patted a baby goat, much to my surprise.
Near the woodpile.
Grace won't leave the stuffed duck and sheep behind -- since yesterday, she's had them within arm's reach. She and Mia did such a great job sharing them.
Admirig a chicken -- unfortunately, there was no grass nearby for us to tempt it with a snack.
A Grace quote: "The duck can see the turkey!" as she got her new friend into position.
Looking at the peacock.
Suki finally woke up when we went back to the car.
Grace had only had smoothies since the accident -- this peanut butter and jelly was eaten with relish.
Suki gives a smile.
Smile 2.
Suki had her six month well visit today, everything looks great. 26 inches long and her whopping head is 17.5 inches. Shockingly her weight has gone from 12.5 pounds to 17.5 pounds, an increase of 40% in just eight weeks. Her pediatrician's fine with this because her head circumference is also increasing at the same quick pace. But holy mackerel, this makes more sense of how she's outgrowing clothes so quickly. Also where those meaty thighs came from.
