August 10, 2013

Our trip to the MFA was many things -- fun, hectic, interesting, disruptive.

Looking at jewelry.

Admiring frescoes.

Choosing projects from the art cart -- Kate and Grace chose scroll making, Suki chose a scavenger hunt of gods and guardians.

Using the mirror to look up at the frescoes with our friend LaDonna.

Sketching in a gallery.

Looking around for something to draw.  Grace was worried about the amount of detail in many of the pieces, so she chose a shrine with two figures inside.

Bead curtain fun.

Sketching and searching in the Buddhist temple.

Looking at wood cuts and a zodiac book.

Truly I was surprised that the MFA proved so overwhelmingly impossible -- there was running, antics, fighting.  So we escaped to the parks in the Emerald Necklace.

Tossing in leaves and sticks to see how they would float under the bridge.

One of Suki's creations.

The dragonfly she made out of sticks, rocks, leaves, grass and helicopters.

Tree climbing.  Kind of.

Fun in the willow.

Three bunnies spotted along the path.

Trying to watch patiently.
