| ...a piece of curling ribbon. Her idea was that he loves Christmas and this way he'd have a jump start on decorating for next year. Fortunately, David is the sort to appreciate a gift like that in the spirit in which it's given. |

After the girls were in bed, a friend sat in the house while David and I went out to get some sushi at a local restaurant. It really was such a fun way to celebrate a birthday.
