March 12, 2012

I kept Suki out of school today -- her class went to a sports center for a lot of running around activities, and since that is the exact thing that triggers her not-yet-controlled asthma it just didn't seem like a good idea. To make it up to her, we had a fun day running around doing things she loves. Our first stop was to a local garden center. Suki loved looking around at all of the flowers!

Tickling each other's faces with these giant flowers.

The next request was a playground.

Suki loves pushing her sister on the swing.

Suki helps her sister up on the turtle.

Suki was so adept at climbing this and Kate tried so hard to catch up.

Beaming with pride when she finally made it.

Then we went for a hike around a pond.

Striking some dance poses.

Fascinated at the way the water runs through a series of culverts.

Off to get Grace a little early from school so she could get to physical therapy on time.

She wasn't too sure at first...

Waiting patiently.

Grace warmed up to Kathy quickly.

I think this is going to be a lot of fun for Grace. Her balance and spatial awareness really need strengthening -- and her near facial fracture was the last straw.

Looking at the library gerbils while Grace attended her Daisy meeting.

These two made up such funny stories with this magnetic board with princesses and dragons.

Grace decorated this shirt in celebration of the Girl Scouts' 100th birthday.

She also designed this monkey patch.

A little show and dessert picnic party after we got back. Then everyone collapsed in exhaustion in their beds.
