It was back to the doctor's office for Suki, who's been wheezing for the past few days. The oral steroids were supposed to help but don't seem to have had an effect. Her blood oxygen levels are bad, she's cranky and not her usual self at all. Getting another tooth this morning didn't help.
Tired, hungry, and still waiting for the prescription. We got it soon after this and I could not believe how well behaved those two were with all of the running around and waiting we had to do today.
The Suki update is that the antibiotics have cleared up her bronchitis but there's still a lot of fluid in her lungs, she's not getting enough oxygen into her blood and her airways are very inflamed. The oral steroids should have worked by now if they were going to do the trick. Suki had another albuterol treatment in the office and they sent us home with a nebulizer of our very own. We'll continue the treatments several times daily over the weekend, but if opening her airways doesn't dry up her lungs then we'll have to take her in for an x-ray early next week to see what's going on with the poor girl.
