February 1, 2007

Today we went on our weekly trip to the mall so Grace could have a chance to play and climb with other kids.

She always has fun walking and running around.

And she really likes seeing other kids.

But this was as close as she cam to climbing on anything.

She loves running around the mall, though.

Looking down through the glass.

She was fascinated by the mannequins.

We looked at the tiled floor for the longest time. Nothing I said could move her from this section of railing.

What Suki was up to during this very exciting time.

Finally I spotted a Disney store and was able to lure Grace away with the promise of Mickey.

And finally, one for the scrapbooks: Baby's First Misdemeanor.
Grace loved this duck so much that she ran out of the store with it. It was a short lived flight as I am never more than a few feet from the girl at any time. She was disappointed when I told her that we could play with it in the store for a few minutes but we would then need to go. I was proud of her, though, because when I put it on the shelf there were no tears or screaming -- the promise of an escalator ride was enough to make the transition smoothly.

When I ran errands, Grace and Suki hung out with Dad.

Suki had her first taste of juice today, at her pediatrician's advice. It's a long story, the short version is Suki loves apple-prune juice.
