November 16, 2006

Today was Suki's first full day in the world. It went pretty well.

Beautiful.

Mom had her pulse checked by the nurse. Never one to be left out, Grace had to have it on her finger too.

Grace gets some good time with Mom. They're reading a Dora book on being a big sister.

Here someone is telling Suki a joke in her dream...maybe.

The three ladies piled onto a hospital bed for some relaxation. Grace refused to nap though, so Dad took her for a drive to let her sleep. After an hour of pointless driving with no sleeping in sight, Dad gave up and drove back to the hospital. As he parked the car, she fell asleep.

Here Dad changes a diaper, followed by a snug swaddle.

A tender moment.

Mom and Grace relax and watch a little TV.

Grace inspected her little sister a bit more closely today.

Dad and Grace take a moment to watch (and count) the fish.

Grace was much more excited about Suki today, running up to her "wagon" (Grace's term) and looking at her through the plastic. She still isn't too keen on touching, but she did touch Suki's face, hair, ears, and nose before leaving for home.

Suki poses with a bear sent from her relatives.
