I left today to celebrate a dear friend's birthday across state, and the girls had such a fun time at home with David.

Their thankful trees. It can be hard on Thanksgiving for these girls to call to mind the things for which they're most thankful, now we can remind them for our thanks-around-the-table in a few weeks.

I had a great time volunteering in Grace's classroom today -- our friends Marina and Nico came over to play with Suki and Kate while I was away. When we went back to pick up Grace after a quick nap, the weather was terrible. So rainy, so cold, so windy -- we were all drenched and shivering when we got back to the car even with multiple umbrellas and raincoats employed. We decided to have a cozy party -- cozy pajamas, cozy blankets and pillows, the best stuffed animals and cozy foods and movies just to snap out of that unpleasant damp.
