June 16, 2007

Today we went back to the farm we visited earlier with our friends Beth and Mia. This time Dad got to see it for himself!

Grace loved these baby calves.

Suki was in the Baby Bjorn and had lots of fun before napping. Consequently, you'll see lots more of Grace in these pictures than Suki.

A toothy little smile.

Looking in at the horse with Dad.

Checking out a cow.

Suki: still awake and looking at goats.

Can you believe this turkey at the top of the coop?

Suki is sleepier but still enraptured by the peacock.

Even with Grace's current obsession with ducks, these were not the hit we thought they might be.

I think she really expected rubbery yellow things waddling around. Still, she kept returning to this spot, perhaps hoping they would get back to their "real" selves?

In a field.

Again looking back at the ducks.

Funny face.

A serious conversation. About ducks.

A kiss near the sheep pen.

Explaining about the corn silo.

Grace starts to get tired.

We canceled our lunch plans and headed home instead, realizing how ill-advised a trip to a restaurant would be at this point.

So very sleepy.

June 15, 2007

Grace is ready to head out for some shopping.

Suki's ready to hit the road, too.

Sometimes I cheat and let her sleep in my lap -- with a face like this you can see why.

Grace woke up early and crying from her nap after a bad dream. Reading a little helped her feel better.

Grace and Suki had fun playing on the counter this morning.

Then Grace practiced her PlayDoh skills by poking,

propping,

and then adjusting the figures she directed me to make.

When Suki woke up from her nap she was happy to play with some of her toys.

So happy that I left her on the floor to play while I put away groceries in the kitchen.

When I finished, I found that she'd rolled her way over to the coffee table and was pulling apart magazines. I can hardly believe we're back to needing to childproof all over again!
