January 27, 2013

In a single weekend I figured out I had forgotten how to play checkers AND how to make a paper hat or boat.  Thank goodness for the internet, Grace was happy.

Kate's artwork for Aunt Tessie.

Suki made this adorable drawing of Tessie and Suki dancing in an orchard.

Grace made this lovely portfolio.
My little family ambassador Kate was the one chosen to accompany me to the rehab facility where Tessie's been staying.  But when we got there, we had a surprise:  Tessie had been discharged.  And thanks to privacy rules, no one could tell us where she'd gone.  So Kate and I had a merry chase around town trying to track her down.  With the assistance of Grandma and two elderly friends of Tessie's, we made it!

Kate loved showing her the drawings she and her sisters had made.  We also got to show her letters from doting family members that we printed while we were at home.

It really is such a delight to see them together.

Kate got such a kick out of showing Tessie how to play her game.

Super sweet, super fun visit and it was so great to see Tessie more like her usual, healthy self.
