This morning we drove to New York through New Jersey, which meant two things: Rainforest Cafe and a chance to visit with our friends who recently returned to NJ after living nearby for a year.
Suki, Elisabeth, Stephan, Madeline, Grace, David, Kate and I all enjoyed our time there so much. So much that it was difficult for Kate to leave, unfortunately.
Happily, there was a lovely driving nap on the way up through New York.
The girls help David load the last things into the hotel -- the Big Fella needs a lot of hands to get up to the room.
Grandma visits for a few minutes before driving David to the airport.
Kate was obsessed with these mirrored sliding doors for the duration of our visit.
As night falls, Suki gives Kate a ride in the spinning chair.
