My girls had some practice at greatness this morning as we contributed in our small way on this day of service.
Here, they are packing up some pantry staples to donate to a food bank.
I was proud of them as they chose some peanut butter and macaroni and cheese, two of their favorites, to donate.
And inspecting the medical supplies we donated to a local clinic.
We headed out drop off our boxes of goods but paused to enjoy some of the wintery weather.
We talked today about how everyone needs help sometimes and that the food and supplies we donated would make life easier for some people. However, the two families coordinating for the two charities our goods went to lived in a more upscale neighborhood than ours. So the girls saw me go up to houses twice the size of ours with our parcels and I suspect they believe the recipients were actually those living in the houses. A bit of a confusing situation perhaps but I think that especially Grace understood the main message.
