July 8, 2007

Today Grace and I headed out to the farmer's market and then Home Depot. She loved both spots -- there was so much to see.

We tried to go to the library...

...but all Grace got to enjoy was the brick wall outside. Why?

Because Mom misread the hours as 10-5, not 1-5. Good grief.

We needed to find somewhere fun out of the sun, so we went to the mall.

Grace eyed the escalator that takes us to the place to play, but did not want to go up today.

She enjoyed looking at the patterns the sunlight made on the floor.

She put her arms over her head like an armadillo shell. And of course, we went to Claire's, a different one on the first level. Then we grabbed lunch and headed home to see Dad and Suki.

Suki had woken up from her nap and was having so much fun with the ball!

Looking down to see a toy she dropped.

Looking out the window.

Looking over at Dad.

Funny faces and lots of chub.

Suki practiced rolling around from place to place.

All smiles.

Back to the playground!

There is very little she enjoys more.

Suki was meant to be taking a nap during this time.

She kind of knew this, but resisted for a little while.

Before long, though, she was out.

All business.

Contemplating lunch.

Looking at the balloons in the grocery store.

Back home after playgroup and some errands.

Grace loves looking for bees in the flowers.

Running down the path.

Brimming with attitude, funny little thing.

Summertime and the living is easy for Suki.

Sweet little face.

Loving her stolen time with "the biggest little duck," as Grace calls it.

Mine! All mine!

Happy girl.

Watching the neighborhood parade.

Parade, part II.

Enjoying watermelon.

Enjoying a nap.

Mom and two patriotic girls.

A little time for the swings.

Guess who went on the swings for the first time today? Okay, that picture was probably a pretty strong hint.
So much fun!

A little video to show the different swinging styles.

The Michelin girl is thrilled...

...especially to be doing something her sister's doing.

Dad gives his girls a push.

After a little more swinging it was back to the house for lunch and a nap.

Tonight we're off to a cookout with friends and fireworks -- what a fun Independence Day!

Reading some more Biscuit at the library.

Running around outside.

A sweet moment with Mom.

Happy with Dad.

These two are such a great pair.

Reading together.

All smiles.

In a cascade of books, Grace couldn't be happier.

Today while Dad and Suki dropped Joshua at the airport, Grace and I went to a local farmer's market.

Grace loved looking at all of the fresh produce and we made a game of trying to find each item on our list.

Happy to be running around.

After the market we had to run by the grocery store to pick up some dish soap. We pulled in and saw Dad and Suki coming out of the store, having picked up some diapers. The point of this is to say: This was Suki's first time in the front of the cart! I was so surprised to see her there, she did great.

She had lots of fun with her dad.

Ready to get her in the car seat.
