Ready to ring another bell! Mama's back actually got a decent break because Grace wanted to walk all over the place for her trick or treating! She was especially excited when there was a dog visible in the house from the doorway.

Our sweetest moment of the night came as we were walking over a lawn and Grace noticed the moon. She started quoting from "
The Wonderful Happens," where the moon lights up the night sky. We held hands and walked along and Grace recited the part that says "Did you know there was a time when you weren't anywhere? But you happened, like bread, like a bird, like rain." It was so lovely, the two of us hand in hand, out in the darkness with dozens of others but also by ourselves, feeling so lucky.

Eating some goulash with Joseph -- how great an idea was it for Gina to make goulash on Halloween? We came home and ate a little leftover pumpkin pie and watched a little Dancing With the Stars for old times sake. She was exhausted and when she started putting her head down on a chair to "take a nap," it was time to put her to bed.
